sailboat rental in Sarasota

HI, I have a Hunter 34 which I sail up in the NW. I am going to Sarasota this holiday season with 3 other people and we would like to rent a sailboat for a day. 25-30 ft for a daysail. Anyone know of a good place to rent them for a day and any suggests of where to sailing there. Thanks, Happy Holidays, Mike

I wished I had my Cruising World magazine in front of me because I know of two advertised charter firms that have what your looking for. One is at the City Marina in St. Petersburg and the other in Fort Myers. Both are a short ride from Sarasota. The ICW gets fairly wide on the West Coast, especially the bay in Tampa. Thats about all I can offer for now.Bob

Charters in St. Petersburg

I was in St. Petersburg last week, and took a couple of classes at "Sailing Florida". They have quite a few boats in their charter fleet, and I was happy with the boat we were on.Jim

Come To Fla But Dress Warm.

"Mike--" We trailered one year from Chicago to Long Boat Key to spend Xmas on our C25. Every morning there was 1/8" of frost covering the deck. Don't be fooled by the Sunshine State Logo but dress warm and bring plenty of sun block to protect from the wind and brillant sun while on the water. You'll find great sailing on the inter coastal and in Tampa Bay.
