You can use a ruler to measure the luff. Fasten the tape to the halyard and hoist it aloft, giving you the luff. The foot is measured by taking the distance from the headstay to the mast and multipling by 1.3 (the specified sail is a 130% genoa). OR you can go to a sailmaker and let him do all the work. Jim
