So, you have a. A sailboat and b. A good outboard and c. A bunch of education, sounds like you're all set, mate!

Just don't forget that it's never too late to get yourselves into a heck of a lot of trouble out there (I should know), but time get on with it then...

my santana 2023A had a roller reefing main. the gooseneck had a rod that went thru the mast and a handle to attach to and roll up the main. it worked well for me. but if i had a new sail maybe better to flake the sail vs rolling it up.
i am considering a windrose 24 but i have concerns on the retracting keel pin and such. and the rudder does not retract/ is solid. I agree this boat is a test boat before going all in a expensive boat and not be able to handle it..
