Where can I by enough sail cloth to repair a 1" tear, 6" inside the leach of my main sail on my O'Day 25? The tear is clean and not in a high stress area, so I thought I can do it myself. Any special instructions?
Ric, Sail cloth is general only sold to sail lofts so you should contact one near you and ask for a piece of 5oz(approx) dacron for the repair. Double-sided tape or seamstick would make the job easier. The leech carries the most load so make sure that you use a couple rows of zig-zag when you sew it up. Bill C.
