two sail lofts in portland (Banks sails and North sails), and an independent in eugene.... I have dealt with all three, and the guy that runs north and the independent guy are by far easier people to deal with....

the independent guy is more affordable, and he is a busy guy, so if you need it tomorrow, you have choices to choose from

I found a loft to get the sail repaired and was a little surprised at the cost.

Currently I have Neil Pryde sails. I briefly considered replacing the sail rather than repairing it.

How big of a difference in quality and performance is there between say, Precision, North, and Neil Pryde? I got a quote for Precision and North because it was easy to get one. Neil Pryde would have taken more effort that I would have made if I had been more serious.

Repair seemed to make more sense than replacement financially.
