Sail loft question

When you bring in your Dacron sails for wash/store/repair at the local loft... how do they actually wash the sails?

I have been spending most time on my most recent boat... however left the Hobie sails, in the sail box (on the trailer) for a few years.

Needless to say... I figured I would bring the sails in and store in basement... I noticed many small black spots (mold)? all over the first 4 or 5 rolls of the sail.

Is there anything I can do with the sails... before bringing them to the loft... or let loft handle as best they can? :stirthepot:

Cleaning the spots would be like vacuuming the carpet before the maid shows up. Let them handle it.

Here is some research that I did some time back. I don't know how they do it in a loft. I would think that spot cleaning the sail and then throwing it in a spa would be an excellent way to clean them.
