Sail cloth weight?

I'm shopping for a used mainsail for my Vega. My original main is pretty tired and saggy after 40 years--(as is the case for many of us). Does anyone tell me what weight of cloth is the original mainsail--6 oz? 7 oz? Any recommendations?

Also, I'm looking at a full-batten sail from a Harbor 20--any thoughts?
