I HAVE A2003 HUNTER306, IT IS EQUIPPED WITH A SAILBAG ATTACHED TO THE BOOM. IS IT SUPPOSE TO STAY UP IN A RIGID POSITION? ALSO WHEN I BRING DOWN THE MAIN SAIL IT DOESN'T FALLINTO THE BAG. AND ALSO COMES DOWN STIFF TO WHERE I HAVE TO GO ON TOP AND HAND DRAG IT DOWN. I ALSO HAVE LAZY JACKS .

GOOD question

Duane, I have a 2001 H320 and have the same setup. I wish I knew the answer, hopefully SOMEONE will know how it is supposed to work. My PO showed me how to just unzip it and stuff it under the sail, then raise the sail. After you drop sail, just pull it up and over and re-zip. BUT, as someone else here pointed out, it has "batten" compartments and other velcro and straps that must have been intended to be used.. somehow. After cleaning and silicon spaying the slides, my main comes down pretty well, we do go up and help it down and flake it a little though. Normally it wants to come down too fast so I stand on the halyard to control it. Getting it all the way up is the biggest challenge but with help (search the archives) from here its not too bad now.
