looking for any ideas on why our '87 sabre 36 water pump worked great until we filled up the starboard side (port was filled early in season). dislocated both intake and outake pumps to see if there was a problem and none??

what brand pumps are they.
are they bilge pumps or pressure water pumps
are the switches clean and in proper position--
are the switches built into pumps or are they separate flapper switches
did you check the connections
do you check and maintain the connections regularly
are the pumps rebuildable and are the diaphragms in good condition
are your batteries in good condition
etc......
