I had some questions re my bow tank in my 11.0a. I wanted to know the tank material/shape/how held in etc. when I lift my bunk boards in the v- berth, there is a solid fiberglass structure across the whole expanse that is tabbed onto the hull both sides. I want to add another vent as it is the holding tank but I don't know the actual tank dimensions. S2 responded within hours and it seems there's one guy left that knows anything about the sailboats and he stated he did not know the answers to my questions except that the tank was fiberglass and glassed in to the hull. Later, down the road, it went to nylon framed in with wood. Kudos to the quick answer! My boat is a '79 vintage, hull# 41. Wondering what the later boats look like under the bunk boards....

Mark, we have a 1980 11.0a. Several years ago we had to remove the holding tank. Ours was located under the port settee. It was constructed of fiberglass, about 1/2" thick. It was bonded to the hull using polyurethane foam. The solid fiberglass you see in the bow could just be the top of that tank. Our bow holds the water tank, 80 gallons, so not sure what all the space requirement would be for a smaller capacity holding tank in that area...don't know if that helps, but FWIW

Tnx.. Wonder if I have an 80 gal holding tank...we never have filled it up even being out several wks. I might take a hose off when empty and stick a little inspection camera down.

Mark, I do know that many of the 11.0 boats were made with many different options available to an original purchaser, both in interior layout and cabinets and holding tank configurations. I guess that explains the many different water and holding tank configurations. I'd be interested to know what you find, just out of curiosity.
