Deep sump below step.
Does anyone know if, or how, you can access the bilge from inside the boat?
From former 7.3 owner...
Any water that accumulates inside the boat will end up in the deep sump, which is on the aft end of the keel, so don't worry about water under the cabin sole because it will all drain to the deep sump. There is a square access panel to the deep sump on the sole under the step, directly below the slide-out stove. If that area is carpeted, you might not see it. The sump is about 4" wide and maybe 30" deep. I actually installed a Rule float activated automatic bilge pump in the bottom of the sump (rectangular shape, so it fit perfectly), which gave me a lot of piece of mind. The cockpit operated manual bilge pump should also have an inlet in the bottom of the sump. There should be a Y-valve diverter inside the port lazarette that needs to be set properly for when you want to manually pump that area.
Hope this helps...
