hello !
that modification bring more ventilation and the feeling of a bigger, brighter cabin.
at the anchorage i can leave the chain locker open to get a nice breeze, and no need to close it when it rain !
the other pictures are a my chart plotter installation on above the wheel

Do u get the anchor/mud/etc smell in the cabin?

no, when i open it i m at the Anchorage, anchor an chain is in the water but anyway i have installed a wash down pump to clean my chain if dirty.

wash down pump

the pump is installed under the toilet sink, sea water is pump from the same seacock as the toilet head. water hose goes on port to the chain locker and thru the deck with a perko screw cap. the shower gun is connected when needed.
