Hello sailors - I have two banks of Rutgerson clutches one of which has a broken lever. I bought several replacement levers but am stuck trying to disassemble the clutches.
The issue is that the port bank sits too close to the hatch coaming so that the hex bolt cannot be removed from the bank. My questions:
* Are the lower bolts the proper bolts to remove to disassemble?
* Is there a way to replace the handle without removing the lower bolts?
* Is there a way to remove the bolts w/o removing the hatch coming?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
