I need to run a gps antenna wire from my pedastal, underneath, and then up the stern rail. Any advice on how to best access the stern rail? Should I just drill from the inside up through where the mounting screws are? Or physically remove the rail and drill outside in?

Tim, This is one of those times when there is more than one way to skin a cat. My preference would be to drill up in the center of the bolt pattern. I always believe the simplest way consistent with a good job is the way to go. If you don't need to reseal where the rail meets the deck, start drilling. Ray T
