Running rigging specs?

I have a Beneteau 31 (2010) and need to replace the main furling outhaul line already. The manual says nothing about recommended size for the running rigging.

What size outhaul line should I get (what diameter and strength?) I bought 3/8" 4400 lb. but not sure if it's the right size now. The original outhaul line seems bigger.

Any help?

3/8 or even 6mm line should be ample for the outhaul. The original line may have gotten a little puffy and appears to be a larger than original diameter. I cannot imagine what could have happened to an outhaul line to warrant replacement after only a couple of years. My boat is an '04 and the line is original and still in good shape.

Beneteau Rigging List

I have a B331 and want to add a second halyard. Attached is the rigging list that Beneteau sent me. Our boats are likely very similar.

Thanks to all. Much appreciated. To Doug M: I think part of it is "user error". I don't always wrap the outhaul to the winch, so it sometimes goes against the edge of the winch. Lesson learned. Thanks.
