Fellow Catalina owners, I have a 1976 Catalina 27. I'm trying to replace the port and starboard running lights, which have burned out. But for the life of me, I can't figure out how to remove the colored lense and bulb. I can't unscrew the lense and bulb from the outside. And I've removed the exterior screws, but cannot remove the running light assembly, which seems quite firmly attached to the hull. It doesn't seem to want to come out on the inside and I can't push it through to the outside. Any suggestions? Regards, Ned Wall

C27 Running Lights

On our 1975 C27 the running light bulbs are accessible from inside. Just remove the socket assembly, then take the bulb out of the socket. I don't know if this was standard equipment or if it was changed somewhere along the line.

On TASHTEGO (a '79 Cat 27) the whole socket twists out of the back of the reflector then the bulb twists out of the socket ikn the usual way.
