I'm upgrading my electronics and one of the projects involves running the sonar transducer cable from ahead of the mast to the helm. I've tried fishing from the existing transducer aft and only got as far as the bilge pump compartment. Taking up the floor boards involves disconnecting the hot water tank, A/C, and the refrigerator compressor to get to the screws for the floor boards, so I'm not going there. The next time I get to the boat, I'm going to try to fish from the transom forward, along the starboard side. I'd like to find an entrance to the starboard stringer, but I don't see one, off hand.
Has anyone been able to run a transducer cable in an H376? I'd hate to have to add this to the list of tasks that I have for the yard.
