Running a new transducer cable

Any Bene 361 owners every replace the speed/depth transducer. If so suggestions on how you ran the new cable. I'm going from a two transducer for speed and depth to a single that does both. Thinking it would be simple to disconnect the wire from the old instruments, tie on a chase string, and pull the old our with the chase in tow. Come to find out that the old cables were included in a wiring bundle and all taped together. So I can't pull the old out. I can't see where the old ones go. They enter a flex wire conduit in the bilge but from there, no clue. Today, I'm going to try to feed a wire snake into the conduit and see if I can figure something out. My other choice, is to leave the old transducer and connect those to the new control head, but I don't think the speed works. I've also considered cutting the transducers off the old cable and splice the new transducer on to that. That could get messy.

What kind of new depth transducer do you have. I installed a new "chirp/downvision" raymarine depth transducer. I don't know this as a "fact" but I was told that you can't spice that type of transducer cable reliably. That may influence your course of action. Make sure you can splice it and get a reliable unit before you go cutting wire.

It’s a Raymarine p70 triducer. Cutting and splicing will be my last resort.

I got the cable run. I cut the units off the old transducer and used that as the chase. If any 361 owners want to know where that wire conduit runs to, it's comes out just aft of the nav station, under the shelve inside the storage cupboard next the the galley sink.

great information, I always wondered where they went... also wondering where the radar and mast wires goes. I so want to go wireless.
