I have a 1993 Hunter 23.5. Just pulled her to have botom painted and noticed severe corrosion on the bottom of the two aluminum plates on both sides of the rudder. The corrosion seems to have compromised the thickness of the plates right at the lower bolt which supports the attachment to the transom. I contacted Hunter regarding replacements and they quoted me roughly $300 dollars for the two plates. I assume that does not even include painting them. That cost seemed pretty high to me.
