rudder

Sailboat in harbor here. Plate on side says Aquarious Coastal Recreation. No rudder. In cockpit an approx. 6" x 24" insert with a plug in one end. Remove plug and there is a tube going thru it. Is maker still in business? How and where should rudder be? Is willing to give me boat, but need questions answered. Can anyone help? Bruce Johnstone

Bruce,, coastal is no longer in business but the boat is well worth having,, the rudder and tiller fit into the 6x24 box insert so that it can ride up in low water when keel is lifted,,My boat is tarped up for winter right now or I could send you a pic,,, it would be an easy thing to rig up.. if you had a pic or could see one set up.peter
