I have a '96 model Water Ballast Calalina 250. I have the problem of the rudder and prop from my Honda 9.9 xtra long shaft meeting and the rudder continues to be the looser. I believe this rudder is the 2nd generation as Catalina sent it as a free replacement for the original (which was to short). This is a kick-up rudder. Has anyone discovered a solution? If so please advise. I need to continue w/ a kickup rudder as the boat is trailable (as you know). HELP. Thanks

EZ-Steer
There is a product called EZ-Steer that is a connecting rod between the motor and the rudder. It will prevent the rudder/prop collisions and I've heard it makes turning much quicker as well since the prop is redirected.
