I noticed that while my Catalina 22 was in storage my rudder moves about 1/4 inch up and down on the post. What causes this, is it important, and if so how do I take care of it? Thanks.

I'd like to help but

last time I checked, C-22's have gudgeons on the tramsom, and pintles on the rudder, so by the term post, I am not sure what your problem is. However, you may have a kick up rudder with some special attachment. Further, what year is your boat?
