The bottom of my rudder has a 3/4" stainless tube which connects it to the hull. This tube is loose and hanging. 
Probably if I pulled hard enough I could remove it from the rudder. I need to repair this, hopefully w/o removing the rudder from the boat. Does anyone have experience with this problem? Thinking about forcing epoxy up the tube with a dowel - being careful to mask the tube and its receiver.
