Rudder removal

I need to remove one rudder for some repair. I see a bracket with 2 or 3 bolts holding it to the back of the hull. Is it as easy as undoing those bolts and letting the urdder drop out of the fitting at the top? What happens if the bolts do not come loose?

Yes

The bolts will come loose. They are stainless. Just put a stand under the rudder so it does not fall to the ground
