CORKY TROTTER
For those of you who raise and lower your rudder often here is my solution to the problem of resistance. Of course it has the standard 1:2 pulley system with the pulley in the tube. I then tied a loop in the downhaul. I then used two pulleys, one regular and one with a cam. I hung the regular from my mast crutch and attached the other with he cam to the loop. With this system it is easy to put the rudder in the down positon and it will stay with the cam cleat. It is also easy to release it with just a pull on the rope out of the cam. We beach alot stern to so this is handy.Corky,MeriCay
