I'm a new Ericson owner so I've asked a few questions already & gotten great answers. So here's the one for today. Can you tell me what the little block on the rudder is for. It's located just above the upper attachment point. Thanks in advance. Mark

Rudder Block

The little rudder block is unique to the Ericson 25, which came as two options, centerboard or full keel. If you have the centerboard model, little block allows you to lift the rudder up to match the draft of the centerboard, thus making your boat have a shoal draft. It also helps when launching to and from a trailer.
