New to H.O.W. and thoroughly enjoying. Great distraction from boredom! Recently pulled rudder from H33. Does anyone know what the packing material is in the fitting at the top of the rudder post tube? Almost feels like a sort of neoprene. Have read a number of submisions re mast step leaks. Have rebuilt the step once already but water still seems to be getting in the deck there. Have also rebedded hatches and grab rails which I through bolted. Has anyone been successful in solving this pesky and damaging problem? I suspect it is related to that wonderful hidden wiring.
