I have a 1990 Passage 42 and when I bought it a few years ago I noticed that the tabbing at the top of the rudder post sleeve wasn't all that well laid up while I was running electrical lines past it. I however didn't think too much about it at the time. Now however since this has become a problem, with the sleeve loose at the tabbing I hadn't thought too much about. I'm wondering if this is a known issue with the Hunter Passage, or if this piece on my boat was the piece someone was laying up late on a Friday afternoon right before a hot date or something.
If this is a known issue what is the recommended fix for it? I have a plan on how I'm going to fix mine, just wanting to see if maybe there is a tried and true method I'm not thinking about.
