I am looking for opinions on my install of the steering cable. When I took the pieces off below the Radial drive. There were 2 large nylon washers. Like 2 inches thick that rubbed against each other. It seemed to me that there was some grease type of stuff between them. I was told that I should NOT put any lube on them. I'm now noticing that if a wave runs under us that moves the rudder back and forth a little at the ends of the movement it makes a creaking sound. I'm still wondering if there should have been some grease put on. Any opinions or ideas???
