Ran aground and bent the rudder post ~ 15 degrees. Straightened most ... except for for 2" by top of rudder. HELP!! I have suggestions such as: 1. cut off ruddr post close to rudder, insert collar and weld new post over it 2. Take post out of rudder and replace and rebuild rudder 3. Buy another. Advise accepted.

I'm surprised you didn't lose the rudder. There have been quite a few posts on 25s loosing their rudders. If the rudder is sound, I like the idea of cutting it off and inserting a collar. The rudder was gone on my 25 when I bought it, I made a new rudder coping from another 25 in the yard.
