One job I hate is to adjust the rudder shaft packing. It is difficult to access and there is only room for short handled Buck Algonquin open end wrenches. Extremely difficult to release the check nut with these tools. However, I had an idea and the job is now relatively easy. I slipped a large box wrench over the BA wrench handle and that gave me tremendous leverage and at a right angle which was convenient. See photos below.
