rudder/motor connection

I was at the lake this weekend and took pictures of my rudder/motor connection. I am having them processed so that they can be posted on the internet. When this is done I will post the site. It works great even with the rudder up, for beaching. On another subject, sailed this weekend in 20+ MPH wind all weekend. Sailed with only a reefed main for crew comfort and still did 4.5 to 5.5 knots. Could keep it pretty flat that way. One of the problems in Kansas is that the wind is always gusty and never the same direction of strenght for very long so it is easy to be over canvased. Corky(MeriCay)

shifty winds

The breezes in Colorado are very shifty too. I have had the wind direction go clear around the boat. We tacked and jibed without ever changing direction.

me to I have sailed "dillon res" and gone totally around the lake without tacking....
