Rudder housing

I have a 1988 Hunter 23. Did the rudder housing come painted from the factory or was it left unpainted aluminum? If it was painted, what color was it? Thank Lee Y

I had a 87 that the housing was painted black, and I now have an 86 that is painted black

Now that I've replaced my rubrail with a black unit, it has something to match.
