My C27 has a small area of delamination in the rudder in the center on the port side. It is far from the rudder post and appears to be very near the surface. The rest of the rudder, including the starboard side is solid. The best repair is clearly to cut it out and rebuild it with new glass, but I am considering a quick fix where I drill two holes at the top of the area and one at the bottom, and then use a plastic syringe to shoot a mixture of epoxy in there to fill the void and harden it up. I asked Catalina about this approach, but did not get any response. Has anyone had a void in their rudder repaired in this manner...and how did it work out. Thanks. Jim
