rudder damage

i have broken the tip off my rudder. does anyone know if its a solid or foam core construction as if its a foam core i will have to get it repaired quickly - otherwise ill leave it for next antifoul as it does not seem to affect steerage.thanks and regards.mark. republica. 45f5 '93 sydney australia.

Mark,When I last hauled my 45f5, there was damage to the bottom of the rudder, extending from the aft bottom edge up about 4 inches, and into the rudder about 1-2 inches. I saw no evidence of foam. How much have you broken off? It might be worth jumping in with a mask and getting a good look.Best,Phil
