Rudder Craft rudder

Has anyone replaced the original rudder on a catalina 27 for the high performance rudder offered by Rudder Craft? I would like to know if there is an improvement in the sailing characteristics of the boat.

Now we don't have a C-27, but I have to give a huge SHOUT-OUT to Rudder Craft. I installed one of their fixed rudders on our C-22 a couple years ago and could believe the difference! We also have one of their kick-up rudders for those adventures where we want to snuggle up close to the shore. I still have a factory fixed rudder for those occasional races which require only a factory rudder, and all I can tell you it's like steering with a barn door after using the Rudder Craft products. My experience has been GREAT SERVICE, and an UNBELIEVABLE PRODUCT! :dance:

I put one on My 1996 Hunter 26' W/B (for sale, btw). It is the Kick-up version, and I second what CaptDon01 said. The rudder craft rudder made an AMAZING difference! Their Customer service and support is top notch as well as their product.
It is the single best investment I made on my boat! Its like putting power steering on a car. It just handles SO MUCH BETTER, I would do it again without hesitation. I can personally recommend the company and its product. In my experience, Yes, it's worth it.

While I didn't use Rudder Craft I did replace my C27 rudder with the Booth rudder and notice an increase in performance and control. Unfortunately didn't take any pictures of it. Oh and the price was closer to $800.00
