Just got a 22 Catalina and I'm making it my new project. It needs a lot of work both inside and out. I would like to replace the tiller with a steering wheel, and I was looking for any information some of you might have come across. Instructions, tutorals, books, videos, etc... Thanks

Don't do it, I think a c22 with a wheel would be a travesty.

NO! Boats below 30 feet in lemgth should only be steered with a tiller. Even most boats between 30-32 feet are better with a tiller.

You need to look for a bigger boat!! My question is: Why?

i agree, also, consider the space you have to move in the 22 cockpit, put in a wheel, oyu'll make the boat seem alot smaller

I do not think converting to a wheel would be a good choice. I saw a C-22 that had wheel steering at the Arlington Yacht Club. You may be able to contact somewone there to finds its owner: www.arlingtonyachtclub.org
