We just purchased a Lancer 30, and during haulout, I noticed that the rudder was hanging about 2 1/2 inches below the shaft housing. The Rudder Post Cap and emergency tiller head is resting against the top of the housing inside the cockpit. The Quadrant is firmly attached and I can't figure where the missing spacer was, assuming there was one. Can anyone suggest what I should use for a spacer and where this should be attached... under the rudder post cap or below the quadrant? Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry the picture is so poor.
