Rubber Play and Repair

We had our keel rebedded and noticed that there is quite a bit of play in the rudder. Many other Beneteau owners say that it is a project that anyone can do. Except me...I'm not going to touch it because I will screw it up. Anyways, I am told that there is some sort of gasket that need to be placed to take up the slack that causes the rudder to move around. Any idea about how much this kind of repair might cost? Thanks

Not sure you need to do anything

Our 321 has some rudder play (up and down) if that is what you mean. I am told not to worry about it. It is about 3/16". If you are talking about play in the wheel, then that needs to be tightened.

1/4" Play

1/4" is the play. Should we just forget about it? Thanks
