Rubber hose for centerboard line on 222

Has any one changed the rubber hose that connects to the swing keel trunk? and can it be replacedwhile the boat is in the water ?

I changed mine while out of the water. You could change the one that connects to the deck while in the water but I would guess the lowered one can't be changed. I had to cut mine off. The rubber had fused with the tube. I used a thick walled marine grade heater hose to replace mine. Found a small piece in the garage. Goodyear Horizon 1"

Sounds good do you think it can be done by runnung boat up on the beach at low tide.

I have no idea where the hose lies in relation to the waterline so can't really say. It seems pretty low in the hull so I would guess you'd have to be pretty hard aground. Are you in tidal water?

Yes I have about a foot and ahalf tide
