Can anyone tell me whats on my deck. I did some sanding and I found what appears to be a rubber coat laid on with a heavy texture similar to that of a textured ceiling. Doesn't seem as if I will be able to sand it down, don't want to remove it, any suggestions on what it is and how to recoat it?

Your suggestions appreciated.

Who is the manufacturer of your boat? Is the decking a manufacturer's?

Could it be a bedliner type of material like used in truck beds? I know folks occasionally use it on the floors of drift boats and jet sleds.

Photos would help a lot. There are quite a few rubbery anti-skid coatings that are used on boats, which include things like DuraBak, KiwiGrip, etc.

Elastomeric Roof Paint?

Check at your home store I used it once on athe roof of a metal shed and thought it might work as deck paint
