has anyone replaced aluminium tanks with those flexible rubber bladder tanks. Having a plastic tank custom made is VERY expensive , so i am wondering if a much cheaper rubber bladder tank is possibly a viable alternative- just wondering if anyone has tried this and what results they have had?

We did that on our Morgan 34 ten years ago and were sorry. Had to be careful when filling tank since it was under settee, for when the bladder was full it raised the settee seat. Also, it reduced capacity.
Old Passage 42 aluminum water tank problem
Those old aluminum water tanks are my biggest problem on my 1991 Passage 42. The white corrosion is CONSTANTLY clogging the intake water lines leading from the tank to the screening system. I have to constantly deal with the plugging of those lines (by blowing the detritis back into the tank).
Eian, a bigger concern of mine, besides replacement cost, is how to get to the midships (aft) water tank. Do you know a way to get to it to replace it without tearing up all the permanently affixed joinery? Ditto for the forward tank as well.
Sure would like an idea as to how to conquer this problem.
