I would like to replace the vinal insert on my rub rail. I have checked the selection from Taco at West Marine. There doesn't seem to be a good match. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Any information would be appreciated. John

Did mine and even with a heat gun, mallets and, hot water my thumbs took two weeks to recover. I did the aluminum track as well. Two screwdrivers worked for me. Check the archives as well and good luck.

Call Catalina Yachts parts department. The have the correct insert in grey or tan. I replaced the entire rub rail on my 30 on a recent refit .You can get the aluminum extrusion in 20 ft lengths if you are willing to pay the shipping. It will take about 75 feet of the rubber insert to go around. Costs of materials and shipping around 700.00. A rubber mallet works well to put the insert in if you put the bottom edge in and then tap the top edge with the mallet. Their number is 818 884 7700
