In reading these posts and trying to identify an elusive leak, I read several times about the rub rail. Would someone please identify it for me. Is it the 2' (or so) rail that is on each side of the hatch. If so, how does one remove it. IT has buttons in the wood that one cannot remove for unscrewing. Thanks

The rub rail runs along the hull to deck joint,its one continuous rubber bumper type protection. You need to remove the wood buttons to get at the screws,has nothing to do with rub rail,here is picture to show the gray rub rail around my boat. What year and model boat do you have,not all boats have this type rub rail nick
