I need to know where and how to order the correct material to replace the rub rail on my 25 O'Day

Rudy at D&R Marine has a white rubrail and black insert available, you will need 3 sections of rub and the 60 foot section of insert. You can also try West Marine but I think they only carry one type of white rub and it has a white insert. If you are looking for an exact factory replacement, I dont believe they are available anymore, however there are some that are very close. I would replace it with one that I liked of the same dimensions of the original and go with it. If you are wanting a white rub like the original, be careful when ordering. Many companies list kits as white, but the rubs are black with white inserts. Good Luck.

Taco

Rich, I replace the rub rail on my '83 O'23 with a new one made by Taco Industries. It looks great and was an easy install with two people. I bought mine at West Marine. Taco has a catalog with every imaginable style. West has an installation video available that was produced by the DIY tv people. My West dealer was nice enough to loan the video to me, but you may have to buy it (then pass it to a friend?). It is much simpler than I would have imagined. Good luck. Terry p.s. I can't remember if it was on the video, but you'll get better retention if you fill-in the old holes (I used 3M 5200) and drill new ones, applying sealant to each screw. Mine is 4 years old now and dry as a bone.

For exact replacement, call D&R. You may find the Taco system to be cheaper, so plan accordingly. I ordered both the rail and insert for my Isabel-damaged O'Day 25. Have not installed it yet, but it looks very nice.
