THANKS GUNNI!!!!!
Got the rub rail you recomended, good stuff nice folks to deal with
Only thing I did differant was to run it through my thickness planer to make a flat surface on the outside and then I mounted a 1/8 thick by 3/4 wide stainless bar stock strike plate on it.The bar stock was a fraction of the cost but tougher
The amount of thought that went into this was incedible though. To make a jig to hold it in place on the side of the boat was tough because of the curve that our boats all have, until I could drill and start the mounting screws. Next was spacing, and most all the starting point so that the fasteners would miss the bulkheads.
All the interier panels had to come out for the fasteners which was happening anyways so if anyone is planning to install a rubrail keep this in mind which increases the diff factor tremendously
Thanks
