Kells 23 In my driveway
Hello,
I'm working on a project boat, a Kells 23. I've stripped stripped the deck in preparation for paint, and have a very "newbie" question. The deck to hull joint has a rubber or vinyl cover, and will need replacing. In researching parts, I'm unsure what this cover is called. Is it a rub rail, a cap rail, or something else? I can't seem to find what I'm looking for in any of the marine supply sites. Thanks for any help,
Sean.

A picture helps when asking questions like this (not fussing just suggesting) but right off hand I might suggest you try Taco metals look on their web site and see if they have something that would work

A rubrail would be on the side of the hull and a caprail on top of a gunwale. In fiberglass boats, these cover the hull to deck joint.
You're is a rubrail.

Rub rails come in different sizes and shapes. Construction is either a single piece or a two part piece( base and insert). A photo as suggested would resolve that issue.
