Hello Members,
Recently, our boat (1984 O'Day 34) rubbed against a piling (due to my mistake  of tieing her incorrectly) and the rub rail has been damaged while doing its job of protecting the hull. This rub rail is black, vinyl with a black insert through the middle of it. The height (as I measured while putting a tape measure behind a loosened piece) is 2 inches. I've found 1 7/8 inch rub rail from a popular manufacturer (Taco).
Questions: (1) Is that the correct rub rail? (2) Does anyone have left over rub rail they would be willing to sell? (3) I need only 3 feet....can small pieces be purchased? So far I've only found ads for 50 or 70 foot lengths to do around the entire hull.
BTW: My engine repair project that I asked about several days ago has been successfully completed with the help of a comment from Stu.......Thank you!
Phil
