When I bought my 35' O'day, there was a crack in the molding that holds the rub rail in place. Now a piece of that molding, approximately two feet long, has fallen off. The rub rail is still intact. Does anyone know how to go about replacing or repairing this? B KRAZY Gregg

Same problem

Got too close to a piling and crunched several feet of the plastic molding. The rubber rub rail is fine. Sent a query to Rudy Nicholson but no response. But I do know that chandleries carry stock molding. I guess it's a matter of taking a piece of the stuff and seeing if you can match it at a chandlery.

Rudy and the rub rail

First, when contacting Rudy, use the web to check on parts only, then call him. He certainly does know how to order either the rail, the insert, or both, as a friend and I did his O35 and my O28 a few years back. But use the phone. You also get good advice with your order. He has it

Just talked to Rudy today about rub rails. He has them and will sell you whatever length you need. His website shows the ones intended for each O'Day model.
