I would like to clean my rub rail. Nothing I have used seems to work. I thought about sanding it down.

rub railcleaner

Have your tried "Krud Kutter" a concentrated cleaner degreaser/stain remover? Recommended for Cars, carpets, showers and boats. Find it at paint stores. Cost about $4.00 in 8oz plastic bottle. J. McCue s/v "Safeharbor"

Try Mary Kate Products

I've used both Mary Kate inflatable boat cleaner and Mary Kate On & Off (not sure of the last name, but it's close). Both products cleaned the grey rub rails well. After I clean them, I usually put 303 on them to protect them.

Soft scrub

I use soft scrub kitchen & bath cleaner. It works real well and removes almost everything. I also use it on the FRP arch trim. Steve, s/v The Odyssey H310...

Don't use anything abraisive

Once you use something that "sands" the surface, you will hate yourself because it will get dirtier quicker and be harder to clean off. Try things that are non-abraisive first. Roc

Cheap and easy!

I use rubber boat cleaner on my H290. Got it at West Marine. Around $8 I think. Worked Great. Did the entire boat in less than an hour.

the best cleaner ever

My 310 is a 1997 and still looks like it is just off the production line. I use "SupperClean from Castral oil", pick it up at your local WalMart. It will clean anything but you have to rinse well or it will eat through anything. mix with water to use on the hull and deck and full for engine and BBQ grill. rinse, rinse, rinse well with water.
